Notes: Signed in ink lower right., Undated., Title inscribed upper centre., The painting was commissioned by Olof Hedberg whose name, address and native flag, the Royal Standard of Sweden, are inscribed in the centre of the painting. His daughter was the wife of Dudley F.C. Allport and the painting was hanging in Aldridge Lodge in the 1920s., Lower centre is a representation of the Tasmanian Steam Navigation Company vessel 'City of Hobart' arriving in Hobart on 9 July 1854 from Scotland., A similar sheet by the same artist is described in the Tasmanian Daily News 22 November 1855. Others are in the Mitchell Library, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and the Tasmanian Maritime Museum., Framed in contemporary huon pine frame with gilt slip., Condition: Generally good., Exhibited 1992.
